February is still deep winter in Austria but recently we have had a spate of spring weather and it has been incredible for all snow sports. So we took advantage on a Monday morning and went skiing in Damüls without all the crowds. Damüls has 109 km pistes of all levels with 20 lifts with the elevation ranging from 710 to 2,050 m. A 10 person gondola now joins the Mellau ski resort with Damüls to make it the largest resort in the Bregenzerwald. Due to the pandemic there are no restaurants and bars open but take out is an option. During the lockdown only locals have been on the slopes and that has been pretty nice!
